I offer flat fee pricing for most of our services.
All packages include a digital PDF of all signed documents in addition to your original documents. While I don't keep originals, I'll always have a digital copy as a back-up for you.
Please note that I do not amend documents prepared by other attorneys or create codicils for them. Most attorneys will not. I can restate existing Trusts and use old documents as a reference point.
Note on Witnessing. I do not have any employees. Most clients provide their own witnesses for Will and Trust signings (you need two). If you live locally, I'm happy to come to your home to do signings or we can all meet at my office.
If you need me to provide witnesses, there is a $100 witness fee. I pay local college kids $50 each to witness and signings must occur at my office.
Why do I do flat fee pricing? When I worked for a firm, I had to bill for my time in six minute increments. That meant I had to bill my clients for every phone call, emailed answer, etc. I want clients to feel like they can ask as many questions as they need to without looking at the clock or fearing a huge bill. Estate planning is important. You need to understand your choices and feel comfortable with them.
